Mobivox
Mobivox click-to-call feature
Mobivox provide click-to-call buttons that can be embedded in Web sites, email messages and the like. The calls, though, work through regular phones on both ends, not computer headsets. In essence, this is a classic voip business feature for global spanning with inbound-calling service that is ideally suited to some of the world's smallest businesses like entrepreneurs who sell things from home through Craigslist Inc or eBay Inc. Clicking the "Call Me" button calls up a Web page that lets the person fill in his or her phone number. MOBIVOX first calls that number, then calls the MOBIVOX member. Vox Girl tells the member where the call is from and how much it will cost per minute, and it offers the option of accepting or rejecting the call. If the call is from another member, it's free; otherwise it costs the usual cheap MOBIVOX rates. The result is effectively a Web-activated global inbound toll-free number at cut-rate VoIP prices. Members can route incoming calls to any phones they wish. A key benefit of the service is anonymity. Because it prevents the caller from knowing the member's real phone number, it's particularly useful for blogs and online transactions.
